Roger M. Hunter, 89, of Forked River, NJ passed peacefully on Thursday, November 10, 2016. Born in Linden, NJ to his late parents, John and Irene Hunter, he is a US Navy Veteran of WWII, having served on a "Destroyer". Roger retired from The Morristown Record newspaper and was predeceased by his beloved wife, Elaine (Barth) Hunter.

He is survived by his devoted brother, J. Stuart Hunter of Hightstown, NJ and his loving niece, Anne and husband Scott Thomas of Pennsylvania.

Viewing and cremation are private. Sea burial with full military honors pending.
