Leonard J. Gioglio, Jr “Lenny,” 84, of Barnegat, NJ passed Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Namaste Care Center, Colorado Springs, CO.  Lenny was employed as a Policeman for the City of New Brunswick for 12 years and for 13 years as a Corrections Officer at the Middlesex County Correction Center.  He retired in 1986. While an officer, he served as the head of the Middlesex County Policemen’s Benevolent Association.  Respected as “good cop” Len was also known as a jack of all trades, self-taught in electronics, plumbing, carpentry and automotive repair.  Born to Leonard and Margaret Gioglio and raised in New Brunswick, he lived there until moving to Barnegat in 1986. He relocated to Colorado Springs in March 2016.    
He is predeceased by his loving wife of 26 years, Kathleen R. Holden, who died in 2015 and by a grand-son, Michael Rosado Tancredi.  Surviving are his siblings, Gerald Gioglio and his wife Kathilynn of CO; Margaret Meseroll and her husband Alan of FL; his son, Leonard J. Gioglio, III and his wife Lisa of NC, two step-sons and their wives, Michael and Tammy Tancredi of MD, Steven and Lori Tancredi of NJ, six grandchildren, Lisa, Laurin, Salvatore, Darren, Gabrielle and Marissa and many nieces and nephews.
A gravesite ceremony and Interment reuniting him with his wife Kathleen was held July 5 in Barnegat Memorial Cemetery, Barnegat, NJ.
