Going through some old business cards on my desk, I found Burke's and decided to try to get in touch. I'm so saddened to find his obituary instead. For over 20 years Burke was my printing company's main paper merchant and why? Because no matter how small the order, or how inconvenient the request, Burke was the consummate, accommodating salesman for whom nothing was too much trouble. When my own father (who founded our company) passed in 2001, Burke took me under his wing and taught me everything I needed to know about paper in order to carry on the family business. His kindness to me and my family, both then and for years afterward, will never be forgotten. To his family, know that he will be greatly missed by everyone at Pad & Publication Assembly Corp. My sincerest prayers are with you. ---Joan Buehler, President, LRP&P Graphics, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.

What fond memories I have of Burke as a mentor in the paper industry. He was extremely supportive of me during my early years in the business. Great business leader and kind , gentle man. He is in my prayers.

I was just advised today of Burke's passing by a fellow classmate of Haddonfield Memorial High School, Class of 1965. I had known Burke since before we started kindergarten together at Tatem School in Haddonfield....as our mothers were friends and we live only a couple of blocks apart. Burke and I share a lot of time and memories going all through the Haddonfield school system together. Burke and I were both rather small and we got paired a lot at various events, class photo shoots, etc. What a great guy, always smiling and looking for the fun in life...saw him last at our 50th reunion last October....same great guy. Sso sorry he had to leave us so soon.

He will certainly be missed. His old friend, "Tommy" MacVaugh

Burke was a friend of more than 40 years. We shared many times together, both good and bad. We will miss him greatly. Although we will be unable to attend his farewell, our hearts and prayers will be there. Our deepest condolences to Jason, family members, and all who considered him a friend.
Rest in peace dear friend.

Burke was one of my classroom buddies at Haddonfield High. I was an out-of-towner,
but he always made me feel right at home. We have not crossed paths in many years, but the memories always remain. I will keep all of you in my prayers and I offer you my deepest sympathies. I know he led life with a purpose and a smile, and family and friends were important to him. I know he will be missed.

To say we lost a wonderful, caring and loving friend is not enough. We were so fortunate to have Burke in our lives, even though it was not long enough for us. His smile and sparkling blue eyes will always be remembered. He not only kept us laughing and joking even though he didn't get the "thing" I told him he should! Thank you for also being a caring friend to the Barnegat 1st Aid Squad. It was deeply appreciated. To Karen & Linda: perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy....Eskimo Proverb... Saturday breakfast will not be the same but it will be done in memory of Burke. We will laugh and be kind to all.....

If you were lucky enough to have Burke in your life, you knew you had a friend. Burke was a big part of our lives. His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts. We shared so many laughs and good times together. Burke loved to tease me, relentlessly! -- and I knew that he wouldn't let anyone else get away with it! Even Burke's illness didn't keep him from thinking of others FIRST. His sense of humor kept US going through his cancer treatments. Burke's love, caring and generosity surpasses the definition of friendship. We were family. Our lives are forever changed. We love you Burke.

Hello Karen, my name is Robyn Moneck. I am Dana Turano's cousin and I was also Burke's niece. I cannot begin to express my sadness in hearing about Burke's passing. I want you to know how much we loved your brother. He meant so much to our family. He was an amazing Uncle to me, so charming, hilarious and genuine. He had the unique ability to always make you smile. To my favorite cousin Dana, he was the father she always wanted. What I'm most thankful for was that he was a wonderful friend to my father, Greg Evans. My dad truly loved Burke. They had a very special bond that could NOT be broken. I loved listening to their fishing tales of the ones that "got away". I was able to have lunch with Burke and my parents while he was Florida not that long ago and we all picked up where we left off. He gave me the biggest hug and told me he loved me. I will carry that memory with me forever. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the services on Monday. I will keep you, Jason and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

We are saddened today. We prayed for Burke's recovery and looked forward to a "cancer free" future. He fought this battle so heroically. We will always remember the vacations in FT Myers. He loved the fishing and the good times he had w Dana and with his Nieces. Greg and Burke were not only fishing buddies and good friends, but more like brothers. Cheers to The fishing Leo's, Lou, Bob, Burke, Lee, and Greg.. Such a strange coincidence - all born in August. Good memories. Love you, Burke.

Our hearts are broken. Burke handled his illness with more grace and dignity than anyone I've ever known. His unfailing sense of humor picked us up, even when we should have been the ones lifting him. He had a warm, loving, generous heart and he will be deeply missed.....always.
