Dear Joe & family
We are all so sorry to hear of Claire's passing, Neil first met Claire on a visit to London when Claire was expecting Cathy ,Joe &Claire looked after him for a week,and after that meeting we met several times as we had formed a friendship .on our last visit to the states Joe & Claire stayed with us in long island and there we chatted about all the good times and the tare of war (Joe will understand) . Claire was a beautiful person and will be greatly missed especially by all her immediate family. Our grandchildren always admire her last gift to us "snow babies "which we hold very dear. Thinking of you all at this sad time.

We are so sorry to hear of Clare's passing. We love you all very deeply and hate to see you in pain. I thought of her when I read this even though I only met her a few times...
Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together
is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that
we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because
I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval,
