William J. Tuting (Bill), 74, Passed away suddenly on April 19, 2021. A Memorial Service will be planned in the close future.
Raised in Kearny, NJ, Bill was a graduate of Kearny High School and Immaculata University. Bill was a Scientist at Hoffmann La Roche and then went into sales and marketing of scientific instruments and at one time was responsible for all of North America.
Bill was involved in scouting for 63 years. His activity was mostly with Troop 2 at Lincoln School, Kearny, where he achieved Eagle Scout in 1964 and over the years, was active in scouting, no matter where he lived. He was President of the Troop 2 Booster Club and through multiple jamborees, commissioner service, and waS Executive Board Member of the Northern New Jersey Council, Boy Scouts of America. He led many camping trips and canoe trips in the Adirondacks. Bill was also an active member of the Lacey Elks, Kearny High Class of ’64 reunions and the Northern NJ Navy League.
Bill is predeceased by his parents, William K. and Bertha M. Tuting. He leaves his son W. Todd Tuting and his wife Laura and his super grandsons: Logan, Liam and Wyatt and his loving fiancé and world traveler, Elise Conser.
