William H. Tansley

William H. Tansley, 86, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Born in Brookville, NJ to his late parents, William and Mildred Tansley, he was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and a retired Engineer for the New Jersey Department of Transportation. William served with the NJ Forest Fire Service and was a life member of the Barnegat Volunteer Fire Company. He was also a past President and member of the Barnegat Board of Education, Barnegat-Waretown Lyons Club, Barnegat United Methodist Church, Barnegat Historical Society, Treasurer of the Barnegat Memorial Cemetery and a member of the American Legion Post 232, Barnegat, NJ.

Surviving is his wife, Gail; loving children, Gregory and his wife, Darlene Mezzanotte, Troy Mezzanotte, William L. Tansley, Richard and his wife, Carrie Tansley; four cherished grandchildren, Jessica (Ron), Gregory (Kristen), Edward and Victoria; great-grandson, Ron, Jr.; He is pre-deceased by his daughter, Liza Mezzanotte; granddaughter, Jennifer DeWorth and brother, Thomas Tansley.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 12:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow in Barnegat Memorial Cemetery, Barnegat. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
