William Thomas Morris, 63, passed away on October 1st, 2023 surrounded by his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Isabella and his father Harry. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Morris, his sons, Michael and Thomas, his sisters, Kathleen Morris, Claire Vasios and her husband George, Carol Showalter and her husband Allan, and many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Bill was raised in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. He graduated from Trenton State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Bill spent his career as a project manager with various state agencies across the State of New Jersey. Bill and Lynn raised their sons in Lumberton, NJ and had recently moved to Barnegat full-time, where they shared many summers together with family and friends.
Bill had various hobbies, such as boating, fishing, playing his drums, working out, rooting for the Yankees and Giants, playing with his dog Buddy, and spending time with his family. He loved being by the water, whether it was by the bay in Barnegat, the Florida Keys, or any body of water in which he could cast his fishing rod. He was an insightful, compassionate, intelligent, caring, and well-rounded man. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Bill made it a point to spend as much time with his family as he possibly could, and always supported his wife and sons in all of their endeavors. His absence will leave a void in the lives of those who loved him.
