William P. Moglia, 76, of Waretown, NJ passed on Monday, February 23, 2026 peacefully at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY to his late parents, William and Elizabeth Moglia, he was formerly of South Amboy and Barnegat, NJ.
William was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a respected member of the community as well as a devoted volunteer firefighter in Barnegat, earning the title of an exempt fireman. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 232, Barnegat, the VFW Post 1092, Barnegat, as well as the president of the Sentimental Cruisers Car Club in Forked River.
Above all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Nancy; loving daughter, Shannon and husband, Ronald Dorn; five cherished granddaughters, Jazmin, Keyanna and Mariah Dorn, Samantha and Mia Moglia; five adored great-grandchildren, Kehlani, Jajariah, Serenity-Jean, Kyran and Zion; three devoted brothers, Bob and wife, Marlene Moglia and Jim and Joe Moglia. He is predeceased by his son, David Moglia.
Memorial Gathering will be held at the Barnegat American Legion Post 232, 499 N Main St, Barnegat, NJ 08005 on Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 1 to 5 PM with Military Honors at 3:00 PM.
