William J. Junker

William ‘Bill’ Junker, 80, of Barnegat NJ passed on August 2, 2022. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA later moving to Massachusetts with his wife Kathy, Bill and his wife finally settled in Barnegat in 1972 where they both lived for over forty years. Bill retired after a long career working at Modern Gas Service in Barnegat where he made many lasting friendships and connections. Following his retirement Bill enjoyed working at the Sand Trap miniature golf course on LBI and watching his grandchildren try to sink that last hole on the first try over and over again. “Pop Pop” cherished his grandchildren spending every moment he could with them never missing a morning no matter if he was going for treatments or if the snow was falling. The bus stop will surely not be the same without Pop Pop, for Ava, Garin, and the neighbors. He also never missed out on opportunity to go anywhere or do anything with his family right up until his passing enjoying dinners, the beach, baseball games and trips to Disney.
He is survived by his son Chip and wife Paula; his two cherished grandchildren Ava and Garin and many friends and family.
