William A. Godla

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of William A. Godla at the age of 82. Bill was born on November 28, 1943 in Passaic, NJ and resided in Clifton for most of his adult life. He was a beloved husband to his wife of 34 years, Rosa Godla, and a dedicated friend to those who knew him.

He leaves behind his wife, a brother Gerald, in-laws Rosario Dolce; Connie and Arthur Vitale; Sylvia Ciappa and many nieces and nephews.

With an MBA and CPA, and over 37 years of experience in the accounting sector, Bill worked for the state of New York for the office of the Medicaid Inspector General in the department of Health. Bill was an avid football fan and always enjoyed his trips to Atlantic City. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 9 to 10 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. Mass to follow, 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Researcrh Hospital is greatly appreciated.
