William C. Eagle

William C. Eagle, 88, of Barnegat, NJ, Best known as Billy, Dad and Pop Pop, passed on Thursday, June 5, 2025 peacefully at home.

Born in Staten Island, NY to his late parents,  John Eagle and Grace Schroeder Eagle, he left high school in ninth grade, taking on the responsibility of caring and supporting his siblings. His sense of duty extended beyond his family as he proudly served his country in the United States Army. On January 20, 1964, William married his soulmate, Rosemary and in 1975 they moved to Mystic Islands, NJ. He was the proud owner of Bill's Home Improvements for over 30 years.

William was a man of many passions. He was known for his kind and loving nature. He found joy in watching his grandsons play from the stands, telling stories of the past, or engaging in his favorite pastimes of fishing, ice skating and meticulously maintaining his yard. Above all, William treasured the moments spent with his beloved wife, Rosemary.

He was the proud Dad of his only child, Kathleen Ryan; son-in-law, Jeff; grandsons Anthony and Logan. 

He is also survived by his siblings, Tom Eagle, Ruthie Storberg, Jean Garbie. Predeceased by his siblings,  John Eagle, Barbara Smith, Patricia Anderson, John McCauley. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 2 to 4 and  6 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Thursday, 10:00 AM St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment to follow in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
