Vincent Joseph Koes, 91, of Barnegat, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026.

Vincent was born on March 9, 1935 to John and Margaret Koes.  After Vincent graduated from Clifford Scott High School in 1953, he went on to serve in the United States Army in 1958 and was honorably discharged on January 31, 1964.  Thereafter he started his first job at Western Electric as a navy wireman, a career that spanned nearly 50 years. 

In 1963, Vincent met Nancy at McGovern’s Bar in Newark, New Jersey.  Vincent and Nancy married in 1965 and went on to have three children, Laurie Ann Schwartz (Koes), Vincent Joseph Koes, Jr. (Vin), and Margaret Mary Koes (Mara).

Vincent was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy Koes; his sisters, Lucille Koes, Mary Hirleman, Peggy Kalenowski, and his brother, Jack Koes.  He is survived by daughter, Laurie (Charles Schwartz), son, Vin and daughter, Mara, as well as his precious grandchildren, Sarah Michaels, Bailey Kappmeier, Kayla Kappmeier, Avery Kappmeier and Tristan Koes.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 4 to 8 at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W.  Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Friday, 11:00 AM followed by Military Honors at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Private Cremation will follow.
