Obituary
Veronica E. Fitzgerald, 84, of Waretown, NJ, known to the many that loved her as "Ronnie", passed on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Born in Bronx, NY to her late parents, John and Alice Fromholz, Ronnie was raised in Middle Village, Queens and lived there until her marriage to John Fitzgerald in 1961, after which they established a home and a new life in Jackson Heights, Queens, where they started their family.
From Queens, they relocated to Parsippany, NJ where they lived for 40 years before relocating to Waretown in 2006. Each chapter of Ronnie's life was filled with family, dear friends, countless laughs and wonderful experiences. She will be deeply missed.
Surviving Ronnie are John Fitzgerald, her beloved husband of 62 years; six loving children and their spouses, Ray and Georgina Fitzgerald, Timothy and Sharon Fitzgerald, Brian and Kathleen Fitzgerald, Sean and Laura Fitzgerald, Patrick and Jacin Fitzgerald; nine cherished grandchildren, Bridget, John, Brian, Connor, Brent, Hannah, Riley, Lily and Abigail; and her devoted sister, Kathleen Fromholz. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathleen Fitzgerald.
A Memorial Mass will be Celebrated 10:30 AM on Friday, September 15, 2023 at St. Mary's Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Barnegat Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
