Tore Stornes

Tore Stornes, 87, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Born in Bergen, Norway to his late parents, Ole and Ingeborg Stornes, he settled in Bayridge, Brooklyn and raised his family in Howell, NJ before retiring to Barnegat.

Tore had a love for golf as well as a love for the Winter Olympics. He was a member of the Norwegian Singing Society and a dedicated member of the Sons of Norway organization.

Above all, he loved his family.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Else Stornes and his cherished grandson, Erik, he is survived by his three loving children, Inger Gildner and her husband, Patrick of Little Egg Harbor, NJ, Roy Stornes and his wife, Vivian of North Port, FL; Tore Stornes, Jr. and his wife, Nancy of Galloway, NJ; three cherished grandchildren, Bjoen, Mary and husband, Robin and Sonja; four adored Great-grandchildren, Kyle, Rose, Erika and Lola.

Cremation is private.
