Thomas Edward Volz passed away the morning of Monday, June 29th, 2026. He was 75 years of age.

Tom was born on February 15th, 1951, in Christ Hospital, Jersey City, New Jersey. He worked as a union carpenter in New York City and spent over thirty years working at Bally’s as a facility manager. He was married on April 21st, 1973, and would go on to have two sons. He is remembered as a loving father and later grandfather, who was hardworking and eager to help others.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Rosemarie and Walter Volz.

He is survived by his wife, Gae, married 53 years; his two sisters, Kathy Tripaldi and Jory Gerken and Jory’s husband, Randy; his two sons, Thomas Volz and his wife, Angela, and Mathew Volz and his partner, Tracy Coon; his sister-in-law and brother in-law, Carmella and Ernie Riccie; his former daughter in-law, Amanda; his grandson, Jason; and his cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026 from 2 to 4 and  6 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.
