Theodore W. Gabriel

Theodore W. Gabriel, 90, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 peacefully at home. Born at the Lakewood Maternity Hospital to his late parents, Theodore Adam Gabriel and Elsie Hayes Fox Gabriel (Dot.) In his early years, the family lived in Seaside then moved to Beachwood. In 1950 the family built a new home and moved to Toms River.  He attended Toms River High School and then joined the Air Force in 1952 and served in Okinawa and was honorably discharged after 2 years of service. He worked for Bell Telephone as an Equipment Mechanic mostly in the Toms River area and retired from them. After he retired, he lived for a while in West Palm Beach Florida and enjoyed cruising and traveling before moving to Barnegat.  He loved to putter in the yard and the animals but of all he loved going to diners and being with the people there. 

He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 18 years, Joan and survived by his devoted partner, Eileen and her daughter, Karen; loving brother, Gary Gabriel and his wife, Sand; two step-daughters, Jean Buckley and her husband, John and Joanne McConnel; two step-sons, John Halliwell and James Halliwel;eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren
