Stephen M. Gerhauser

Stephen M. Gerhauser, 73, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Thursday, November 27, 2025. Born in Newark, NJ to his late parents, Thomas and Ruth Gerhauser, he was formerly of Bloomfield and Lincoln Park, NJ and a United States Coast Guard Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Stephen retired as a Detective from the Bloomfield Police Department and has been a resident of Barnegat for over 20 years.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Grace; one loving son, John and his wife, Kristen DelVirginia; two cherished grandchildren, DeAnna, Andrew.

He is predeceased by his sister, Alice. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown, NJ.
