Steve Andricsak, 82 passed away peacefully on January 19, 2025 at Deborah Hospital in New Jersey, after battling heart and kidney failure. Born on December 28, 1942 to Anna and Stephen Andricsak, Steve grew up in Metuchen with his younger brother Dave and went on to graduate from Metuchen High School. He always had a love for electronics and attended the RCA Institute. After a few jobs he later attended Sienna College to pursue Business and went on to have an incredible career working for VWR Scientific — first as a Salesman, then Marketing Manager, and finally a Sales Manager — where he stayed until he retired after 35 years. Steve made a lot of great friends at VWR and his job took him and his family to Saratoga Springs, NY; Toms River, NJ; Concord, CA; and Manalapan, NJ before finally coming full circle back to Ocean County, NJ.
Steve loved to learn and experience new things, taking his family on many roadtrips and excursions — often ending up at various battleground sites because of his passion for History, but also enjoyed theme parks and taking the family to the movies or Pt. Pleasant Boardwalk.
Steve also had a love for music and guitar, having played in many bands with his brother in his younger years — and enjoyed traveling to places like Hawaii, Aruba, Germany and Switzerland.
Steve loved and cherished his family. He made it a priority to be at all their events, whether sports, academic, or family ones and even drove four hours to take his kids and their friends to a concert in upstate NY — one they still love to talk about to this day. There wasn’t anything he would not do for any of them.
He was loved by all and would help anyone, known to many as “Mr. Fix It”.
He was married to the love of his life, Janet. They would have celebrated 50 years together in September.
Steve is survived by his wife Janet, sons Gregory (Nancy) and Eric (Danielle), and his daughter Jessica (Michael). He loved his granddaughters, Madison, Emma and Maggie and grandson Ryan so much and they all had a very special place in his heart.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:30 AM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
