Rose Nolan Obituary

Rose M. Nolan, 96, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, surrounded by her family and wonderful caregivers. Born in Brooklyn, NY, to her late parents, Gerald and Elizabeth McIntyre, she is predeceased by her beloved husband of 52 years, Joseph, and two sisters, Florence and Marion.

Rose will be greatly missed by her children, Denise DeMonte and her spouse, Fred, and Joseph G. Nolan and his spouse, Barbara. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Alyson Watts and her spouse, Andy, and Meghan Mayer and her spouse, Rob. Rose had the added joy of seven great grandchildren, Grace, Eva, Calli, Gavin, Nolan, Logan, and Lennon, who all lovingly called her “Rosie.”

Rose loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, and great grandma, who always had a smile on her face when her family was around. She loved the beach, watching old movies, making crafts, and playing bingo, especially if there was a cash prize involved. She was fun, she was loved, and she left her family’s hearts full of wonderful memories. She believed in God, prayers, church, heaven, and family. May she be resting lovingly in God’s arms.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat.
