Rose E. Houmis

Rose E. Houmis, 86, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Manahawkin, NJ.  Born in Jersey City, NJ to her late parents, Paul and Ann Encampo, she is survived by her two loving daughters, Michele Houmis and Christine, and her husband, Richard Shaffer; seven cherished grandchildren, Gina Marie, Richie, Noelle, Louis III, Rosemary, Joseph and Sarah and sisters, Ann Lunanuova, Marie Fabiano and Josephine Moore. She is predeceased by her husband, Louis Houmis; son, Louis Houmis, Jr. and her sister, Pauline Petto.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial offered 12:30 PM on Wednesday at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ.
