Ronald G. Kievit

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Ronald G. Kievit. He passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025 at the age of 78. Ron was born on March 7, 1947 in Bergen County. He was a longtime resident of Ocean County.

Ron was a devoted race car enthusiast, and his passion for the sport will be deeply missed by his family and fellow racers. His love for cars extends beyond racing. He was a long-time owner of Ron’s Auto and Machine Shop. Ron was dedicated to his shop and his customers. He was known for always making a joke, his love of the tropics and traveling in his motorhome.

 Ron is survived by his wife Judith Kievit of 43 years. He has also survived by his children: Ronald E. Kievit (Kelly), Brian Kievit, Michelle Hunt (Todd), and Cherilyn Saxen. Ron was also a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather to Kyle, Ryan, Brian and Christian Kievit, Brett and Alexa Hunt, Jonathan and Jessica Saxen, and Coraline and Salem Saxen-Yakelewicz; also survived by his sister, Karen Ann Kievit  

The family knows he was loved by many but will be having a private gathering to celebrate Ron’s life.
