Robert J. Patella

Robert J. Patella, 94, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Monday, October 2, 2023. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ by his late parents, Louis and Rose Patella,  he is a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and worked as an accomplished Silver Smith. He formerly resided in Old Bridge, NJ before moving to Barnegat where he has been a resident for 22 years.  Robert enjoyed the Belmar Beach and loved spending time in the sun and the ocean. He was actively involved in the Men’s Club and the Italian American Club in the Mirage community. Always willing to help anyone, he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Margaret; three loving children, Robert and his wife, Cecilia Patella, Maureen Springer and Margaret Farrell; six cherished grandchildren, Christopher (Cara), Heather (Frankie), Megan (JP), Lauren, Brittany (Daniel) and Patrick; twelve great-grandchildren, Raymond, Frankie, Tessa, Malia, Sophie, Clark, Christian, Robert, Catalina, Lilliana, Mathew and Daniel; as well as many loving family and friends.He is pre-deceased by his brother, Louis Patella.

Visitation will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Tuesday, 11:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment to follow in Bg. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cemetery., Arneytown, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
