Robert Hellinger Obituary

Robert Hellinger, 80, of Barnegat, NJ, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, July 26, 2020, at his daughter’s home, in Kendall Park, NJ, from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, on June 24, 1940, he was the son of the late Margaret (Draskins) and Charles Hellinger. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Rose Lois (Stober); sisters, Margaret Sulbowski, Virginia Romano and Dorothy Thompson; brothers, Charles and Donald. Surviving are his daughter, Staci Shane of Kendall Park, her husband Paul and granddaughter, Erin; son, Jeffrey of Bayville and granddaughters, Audrey and Rachel; sister, Betty Leigh of Barnegat; nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and nephews.

Formerly of Sayreville, NJ, Robert retired to Barnegat 17 years ago and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s parish in Barnegat. A US Army Veteran, Robert worked for Western Electric in Kearny, NJ, as well as AT&T, Bedminster, as a Draftsman. 

Viewing will be Wednesday, July 29 from 4-7 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. Blessing Service Thursday 10 AM at Funeral Home, with Interment to follow. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
