Robert J. Ganter

Robert J. Ganter, 71, of West Caldwell and Barnegat, NJ passed away on May 3, 2026.

Bob was born on July 28, 1954 in Jersey City, New Jersey, son of the late George H. Ganter and Mary A. Ganter (Glynn).  He graduated from Gettysburg College where he was captain of the baseball team. He went on to receive a Masters Degree from Rutgers University.

Bob enjoyed a successful career in finance and worked in numerous roles for many firms. Bob retired from Charles Schwab in 2024 where he worked for thirty years as a client service specialist and certified financial planner.

Bob was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends; some of those friends he had since chidhood.

He loved his golf weekends with “the guys” as well as watching golf and following the Giants and Yankees. He loved the beach and and taking walks in the woods and along the Barnegat Trail. He enjoyed cooking and grilling and spending time on the patio with his family.

Bob is survived by his brother, George and his wife, Anne of Barnegat as well as cousins, Kathleen Smith, Theresa Rocchio and Regina Puglisi.

Entombment Service will be held in Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ on Friday, May 8, 2026, 11:00 AM. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
