Robert “Bob” Yockachonis Jr., 44, of Barnegat, New Jersey, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1981, in Lakewood, NJ, and to many he was known simply as Bob, but to a lot of us he was Bobby, Bubba, Big Bob, Uncle Bob, and UB.
Bob grew up in Harvey Cedars, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Southern Regional. As a young kid, he had a love for High Point Fire Company and went to fire school in 2000, which made his grandfather, William Molineaux, so proud. Bob wore many hats throughout his life. In recent years, he worked as a plumber and took great pride in his craft. He truly loved working in the trade his father taught him. Bob always had a love for all music, bonded with so many through song, and was always ready to sing. He had a passion for racing—whether it was boats or cars—and he loved to cook. But his greatest joy came from the people around him: his family, his friends, and anyone fortunate enough to be part of his circle. To be liked by Bob was to be loved by him.
Bob is survived by his son, William, along with his fiancée, Britney, and his daughter, Caitriona. Though they were not always part of his daily life, he carried them in his heart every single day. He is also survived by the family he lived with and loved deeply—his sister, Debra; his niece, Dana; his nephew, James; and his grand-nephew, Preston, who brought so much light into his home. In addition, he is survived by his niece, Jessica; his brothers, George and William; three additional sisters, Pamela, Saundra, and Sherron; and his father’s sister, Judi. Bob also had many friends who were more like bonus brothers, such as Gary, Frank, Adam, and many others.
He is predeceased by his mother, Patricia, and his father, Robert, whom he loved dearly. He missed them every day, and now he is finally home with them.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, December 20th, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the American Legion in Barnegat.
Bob’s presence filled every room he walked into, and the absence he leaves behind is just as large. His memory will live on in the stories, the laughter, and the love he shared with the people who meant the most to him.
