Richard N. Mosolgo Obituary

Richard N. Mosolgo, 93, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Friday, June 26, 2026 peacefully at home. 


Richie was a proud Veteran of the Korean War.  He was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his brave service while also earning a Combat Infantry Badge.


He was an avid fisherman and cherished his time on his boats in Barnegat and Cape Coral, Florida.  He found great comfort on the water, loved the Florida heat and enjoyed life as a snowbird!


When not enjoying the outdoors, Richie loved spending time with friends and family.  He had a strong connection to his church and formed many lasting friendships and a deep bond with his Pastor.


Richie was a friend to all and loved by many.  He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and friend.  He will be missed by all whose lives he touched.


 Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Ethel Mosolgo, brother, Ronald and  step grand-daughter Tara Romancino. He is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine; loving children, William Mosolgo and wife Julianne, Donna Wilkey and husband Jeffrey, Jacki Mosolgo and husband Mark Gerba; grandchildren, Victoria Herron and husband Shawn, Olivia King and husband Brandon, Nicolette Wilkey; great-grandchild, great grandchild, Miles Herron; step-daughters, Debbie Romancino, Diane Cavender; step-grandchild, Alexandra DeLeon.


Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM with a Service at 2 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
