Richard W. Megill

Richard Wayne Megill, known affectionately as Rich, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Barnegat, New Jersey. Born on February 25, 1960, Rich grew up in Wall Township, New Jersey.

Rich was a man of many passions, including fishing, camping, riding motorcycles, and music. He also had a fondness for watching reruns of classic shows and westerns , a hobby that brought him much joy and relaxation. His love for the outdoors and adventures in nature were a significant part of who he was.

Rich recently retired after 42 years at New Jersey Natural Gas, where he was respected and valued for his hard work and commitment. His favorite part of his job was house visits where he could show off his dog whisperer skills.

Rich is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Kristine Megill, his sons, Ethan and Evan Megill, his mother, Mary Megill and his sisters, Lori Colon, and Lisa Krawchuk (Mike). He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Megill.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Rich's life will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ, from 1 to 4 pm. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
