Ralph Langione Obituary

Ralph J. Langione, 1930-2024

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph J. Langione, who peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born in the Bronx, New York, on May 7, 1930, Ralph was the beloved son of James and Eleanor Langione and brother to Lorraine Civitanova and the late Jean Fazio.

Ralph shared his life with two remarkable women. His beloved first wife, Patricia whom he married in June,1951, predeceased him in 1992. He later found love again with his devoted wife, Mary, who stood by his side through the later chapters of his life. Together, they created a warm and welcoming family that was Ralph’s pride and joy.

Ralph leaves behind his four children (Linda MacPherson, James Langione and his wife Barbara, John Langione and his wife Nancy, and Lisa Masterson and her husband Steve) and their beautiful families. He was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  He also embraced his stepchildren with open arms (Philip Cara and his wife Maria, Stephen Cara and his wife Marian, and Linda Franks) and their loving families.  They will all forever carry his memory in their hearts.

Ralph proudly served in the United States Army National Guard Reserve from 1948 to 1956, where he excelled as a dedicated serviceman, leaving behind a record of honorable service. Before his service, while in high school, Ralph played baseball for the Federation League and was one of two players invited to try out for the New York Yankees—a testament to his athletic talent and passion for the game.

Ralph had a successful career as a manufactures representative selling furniture for Futorian Corporation. He was a natural salesman that was defined by his charisma, dedication, and talent for building connections. He was a keen judge of character - a quality that served him well throughout his lifetime.  In retirement, he embraced the joys of life - he loved traveling to new places and playing bocce, cards, pool and golf in his community.  He treasured the time he spent with family and friends, nurturing countless bonds that enriched his days.

Ralph will be remembered as an energetic, kind & generous soul who was loved and respected by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His friends will fondly recall his friendly smile and warmth that could brighten any room.

As we bid farewell to Ralph, we celebrate a life well-lived and honor the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. He was an inspiration to us all.
