Phyllis Jacobs, 88, of Barnegat, New Jersey (previously of Fair Lawn, NJ) passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 1, 1936, in Bronx, New York, to her late parents Irving and Mae Kupersmith. She grew up with her brother Frederic (2006) and graduated from James Monroe High School in 1954. She then graduated from business school where she became a legal secretary back in the early 1960’s where she worked for the law firm of Weitz and Luxenberg in Manhattan, New York.
She is survived by her beloved husband Milton, of 62 years, her loving son Craig and daughter-in-law Theresa, and their twin grandsons Steven and Matthew.
Phyllis will be remembered as one who loved to laugh, to love, and to be with others. Her laugh was contagious. She enjoyed being with her family and friends. Having a good time was what she loved to do. From hosting a party, to making holidays for her family, to playing canasta or mahjong with her girlfriends gave her great joy. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends and will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 1 to 4 PM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, New Jersey.
Her wishes were to be cremated, and interment of ashes will be in Bg. Wm. C. Doyle Vet. Mem. Cem., Arneytown, New Jersey at a future date.
