Patricia Ann Voelker

Patricia Ann (Smith) Voelker, Manahawkin, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and faithful child of God, passed peacefully on July 19, 2024, surrounded by her family, and holding the hand of her husband of 67 years, Robert Voelker. She was 85 years young.

Patricia was born on April 2, 1939 to the late Mary Roach and William Smith in Queens, New York, where she lived until marrying the love of her life, Robert, who survives. Patricia is also survived by her children: Robin and her husband Rick Dahmen, Terry and her husband Greg Meese, JoAnne and her husband Richard Sullivan, Bobby and his wife, Maureen, and Mary and her husband Ray Zacharkevics; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her sister: Roberta Levithan; brothers: Robert Smith and William Smith, Jr.; as well as nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her grandson: Dean Lutomski; and by her sisters: Dorothy Wilmarth and Cathy Quinton.

Family meant everything to Patricia (“Mom,” “Grammy,” “Nana”) and she celebrated every milestone, whether the birth of another great grandchild, a wedding, a soccer game, a music recital, a birthday or the loss of a first tooth.

Equally devoted to her Catholic faith, Patricia relished time spent with her church family at daily mass where she added her angelic voice in song, or at the adoration of the Eucharist, or volunteering at the Church carnival or delivering for St. Vincent DePaul Society.

Kind and selfless beyond words, Patricia left an indelible mark on everyone she met. With her generosity of spirit, she brought joy to every person she met with her ability to make them feel like the most special person on earth.

The first Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005 .  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 25, 2024 St. Mary’s Church,  747 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ.  A second Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 26, 2024 at Quigley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 337 Hudson Street, Cornwall-On-Hudson, NY.  A Chapel Service and Reflections will be held 6:45 PM following the Visitation. 

Interment will take place at the Cemetery of the Highlands, Highland Mills, NY.
