Norman C. Modola

Norman C. Modola, 61, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Friday, July 18, 2025. Born in Plainfield, NJ to his late parents, Anthony and Jeanette Modola, he was a long-time resident of Barnegat who dedicated himself to the safety of his community as a Fire Police Officer with the Barnegat Volunteer Fire Company Station 11.
Norman was a truck driver his whole adult life.

His interests included sports; cheering on his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Mets. He had a love for the water; enjoying fishing, crabbing and the pool.
Above all, Norman's greatest love was his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Sherry Ann; his fur baby, Domino; sister, Nancy Modola; two brothers, David Modola and wife, Kelly and Anthony (TJ) Modola; brother-in-law, Joseph Battaglia and father-in-law, Carmello Battaglia; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 1 to 3:30 PM with a Funeral Service to begin at 3:30 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.
