Nina Ferro

Nina Ferro, 75, of Waretown, NJ passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
Born in Austria, she was raised in Venezuela before her family emigrated to the United States and settled in Elmwood Park, NJ. Nina and her husband, Lucio Ferro, raised their family in Fairfield, NJ and she taught Spanish at Jefferson High School in Jefferson, NJ for many years and was a member of the NJ Teachers Association. She retired to Waretown, NJ where she was a member of the Oceanaire Women’s Golf Association and a bowling team member. 

Surviving are her beloved husband of 53 years, Lucio; two loving children and their spouses, Paul Ferro and wife Erin, Lisa Ferro Smith and husband Danny; three precious grandchildren, Luca Ferro, Liam and Isla Smith. 

Visitation will be private. Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 21, 2022 at St. Mary’s Church, 747 West Bay Ave., Barnegat. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin, NJ.  (www.BarnegatFH.com)
