Mason Ryan Phillips passed away on February 14th, 2025 at the age of 3, following a courageous 330-day battle with leukemia.
Mason was born in Barnegat, NJ on November 15th, 2021 to parents Ryan and Kristina Phillips. As a baby, Mason was a “mommy’s boy” who was happiest in her arms and made that very clear to anyone who tried to hold him. However, once Mason became a toddler, his infectious personality quickly lit up the room. He loved playing with monster trucks and power tools. He could usually be found outside mowing the lawn, swinging on his favorite swing and listening to country music.
Mason also loved super hero’s - specifically the Incredible Hulk and Spiderman - and police officers. The strength that Mason showed us throughout his fight with leukemia made us start referring to him as our little hulk. He quickly started to collect hulk toys, pillows and blankets, and even dressed up as the hulk for Halloween. For his 3rd birthday he had the best of both worlds - he got to meet Hulk and was speechless when watching the largest parade of local first responders from his front yard.
Mason is predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Deborah Harkins Phillips. He will live on in the hearts of his parents, Ryan and Kristina Phillips; his older brother, Parker; his younger sister, Mia; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Caron Brown; and his many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
