Mary I. Walther

Mary I. (Bowers) Walther, 89, of Barnegat, NJ passed on October 14, 2019. Born in Pottsville, PA to her late parents, Joseph L. and Mary (Gallo) Bowers, where she graduated from Pottsville High School. Mary was a retired secretary from General Public Utilities. She was a resident of Netcong, NJ from 1959 till retiring to Heritage Bay in Barnegat, NJ where she resided until 6 months ago when she moved to Houston, TX to be with her oldest son Alan. Mary served as Past Matron of Starlight Chapter 107 in Budd Lake, NJ where she was a member for over 50 years. She also served as Past Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star in NJ and member of the Order of The Eastern Star in Barnegat, NJ.

She is survived by her two children, Alan J. Walther of Houston TX and John D. Walther, Sr. of Philadelphia, PA.; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her sister, Faith Bowers Cook of Pottsville, PA. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Kurt Frank Walther and two grandchildren, John and Lora. 

Viewing Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 1 to 4 PM at Barnegat funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Interment will be held Monday 11 AM in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
