Mary Reynolds

Mary Patricia Reynolds of Barnegat, New Jersey, born on February 28, 1935 in County Monaghan Ireland town of Corracharra, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2024, with her beloved family at her side.

Mary left Ireland for America in April 1954.  In January of 1959, Mary married Thomas Martin Reynolds of County Leitrim, Ireland in New York City.  After marriage, she and Tom joined Good Shepherd Parish in the Inwood section of Manhattan. Later, in 1977, they moved to Barry Lakes, New Jersey. Mary worked at Saxony Bakery in Vernon, New Jersey.  She enjoyed her many years working at the bakery and made countless friends in the community.  In 2007 Mary and Tom retired to Barnegat New Jersey and joined St. Mary’s Parish.

Mary is survived by her devoted husband Tom and her children Thomas Michael Reynolds (Erika), Martin Joseph Reynolds (Shirley), Mary Patricia Gifford (Scott), Jerry Francis Reynolds and Bernadette Reagan (John), eleven grandchildren and her siblings Patrick Joseph Greenan (Galway), Bridie Talt (Barry Lakes), and Thomas Greenan (Mayo).  Mary was predeceased by her brother Francis Greenan (London).

The family will receive friends on Saturday December 14, 2024 from 9:30-10:30 AM at the Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ 08005 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church in Barnegat.
