Mary P. Harth Obituary
Heaven got a tad more fun with the arrival of our Irish mom, Mary Patricia Harth (nee Brady), and lovingly known by many as “Tucky”, a nickname bestowed upon her by her husband of 58 years, Robert W. Harth (Bob), who died in 2017. Mary passed away peacefully at her home in Barnegat, N.J. Her beloved son, Peter, was nearby.
Mary was born in Newark, N.J. and went on to earn a nursing degree from St Peters School of Nursing. An only child, Mary, longed for a large family. She is survived by her 5 children: Jeanette, (Fred) Koplitz, Jacqui Hall, Peter, Kate (Jeff) Kantounis, and Irene (Jay) Glassheim, 3 grandchildren (Maureen, Matt (Stephanie) and Alex, 1 step grandchild (Stratos) and 4 great grandchildren (Carter, Emma, Kathryn and Kara).
Before moving to Barnegat, Mary and Bob spent decades in Freehold, N.J., where they raised their family and were active participants in their church and their children's sporting events. For many years, Mary was a lector and a eucharistic minister at St. Robert Bellarmine. Faith, family and fun were so important to Mary. She found joy in the simple things: days at the beach, get togethers with family, reading, gardening and being with others. She will be missed!
