Mary E. Chelednik

Mary Elizabeth Chelednik, 81, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on March 24, 2026.

Born October 1, 1944, in Central City, Pennsylvania daughter of Francis and Helen Miller.  She graduated from Shade High School of Cairnbrook, Pennsylvania in 1962.  She later retired from CentraState Hospital in Freehold, New Jersey. 

Mary loved going to yard and estate sales in search of hidden treasures.  She was a collector of Lenox, Jim Shore and antiques.  Mary loved to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She especially loved family celebrations and relaxing on the sun porch with her beloved cat, Sylvia.

Mary is survived by her children Michael Chelednik, Jr. (Heidi), Sheila Chelednik, and Kathy Dunn (James), Eight grandchildren Michael Chelednik, Krystal Chelednik, James Dunn, Jr. (Amber), Brandon Chelednik, Melissa Maconi (Ryan), William Dunn, Danielle Townsman (Douglas) and Jeffrey Chelednik.  Eleven great grandchildren Kayden, Ashton, Roman, Luke, Violet, Jordyn, Lauren, Douglas Jr., Boston, Evelyn, and Charlotte.  Mary is also survived by her siblings Frank Miller, Dorothy Donia, and Charles Miller (Brenda), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

 Mary was predeceased by her parents Francis and Helen Miller, sister-in-law Irma Miller and brother-in-law Angelo Donia.
