Martin “Marty” R. Kenny 

Marty Kenny, 63, of Barnegat passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on May 28, 2026. Marty was born in Red Bank and formally of Middletown moving to Barnegat in 1976.

He graduated from Southern Regional High School in 1981 then went on to become a contractor and a carpenter. 

Many people remember Marty as “Party Marty”, the master chef. Everyone knew his door was always open, the grill was always hot, and the food was always delicious. One of his greatest passions was being on the water. Whether it was fishing, working on the Miss Barnegat Light, or spending quality time on the boat with his family, he understood the water like it was always speaking to him.  

Marty is survived by his wife Lisa, of 36 years; his children Sean (Amanda), Wendy, Bobby, and Randy; his beloved dog, Piper; grandchildren Scarlett and Levi; his sisters Kathy, Debbie Commons (Brian), Colleen, and Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Catherine and Robert Kenny, his sister Betsy Psensky (Paul), and his niece Colleen Turner.
