Mark R. Hirschfeld

Mark R. Hirschfeld, 79, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Friday, January 24, 2025peacefully  at home.

Mark, through his business name, Mr. Miracle,  spent his entire career as a carpenter.  While it was certainly a job, no one loved building or fixing things more than him.  When he wasn't at work, he was either taking on his own projects at home, or at a family or friend's house fixing something for them.   An avid Yankee fan who would never miss a game, but enjoyed even more talking about the team and what they should do to get better with anyone.  He was jokingly given the name Crazy Randy, which he learned to embrace, and it even became his email address.  He was so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandson and always had his phone close by so he would never miss one of their calls.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Renee; two loving children, Ilene Keating and husband, Jimmy and Jonathan Hirschfeld and wife, Amy; six grandchildren, Kyleigh, Zach, Mackenna, Cameron, Stephen, Emily; great-grandson, Maverick; sister, Harriet Gieser; loving nieces and nephews; three grand-dogs, Stella, Fiona, Jasper.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29 from 10 to 11 AM with a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Interment to follow at Cedar Park-Beth El Cemetery, Paramus, NJ.

The family will be sitting shiva on Thursday and Friday 12-6 and Sunday 12-5.
