Marion Eslinger, 85, of Barnegat, passed peacefully at her daughter’s River Edge home on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Born and raised in Newark, she graduated from East Side High School in 1957 and later attended classes at Seton Hall University. She worked at Saint James Health as a medical biller, before moving to Barnegat in 1979, where she continued in her profession at Southern Ocean County Hospital in Manahawkin. She was a gifted seamstress, often crafting beautiful dresses in her youth, as well as costumes for her children. Her fondest memories were family vacations to Cape Cod and sailing off of Atlantic Highlands. She was a doll collector and an avid reader, but her favorite hobby was spending time with her beloved grandchildren. A devout Catholic, she was raised going to St. Casimir’s Church in Newark and regularly attended Mass at St. Mary’s Church in Barnegat.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Daren and Ernest Buzzerio of River Edge; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jennifer Eslinger of Barnegat; grandchildren, Ashley, Devin, Nicholas, Daniel, Jacob, Alexander, and Kyle; and great-granddaughter, Cedar. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Delikat; nieces and nephews, Michael and Felita, Joseph and Patricia, Dawn and Manny; and grand-nephew, Joseph. She is predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Eslinger; brother, Joseph M. Delikat; and parents, Joseph and Viola Delikat.
A Funeral Mass will be offered 11 AM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at St. Mary's Church, 747 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
