Margaret "Peggy" M. Mahan

Margaret “Peggy” M. Mahan, 72, of Barnegat, NJ passed on August 7, 2021. Born in Jersey City to her late parents, John and Doris Horvath, she attended Henry Snyder High School and the School of Visual Arts in NYC. She retired from Hudson City Savings Bank after 34 years, where she worked as a branch manager. Peggy was also an award winning artist whose drawings and watercolor paintings have been shown on exhibit. She will be remembered for her  love of family, the beach, dining in local restaurants and starting each day completing the NY Times crossword puzzle.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 54 years, Joseph Mahan; her loving daughter, Jennifer Buscaino and husband Andrew Acton; three cherished grandchildren, Raye, Mia and Joanna; two cherished great grandchildren, Lucia and Emilia; her sister, Phyllis Spencer; her brother, John Horvath.

Viewing Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 4 to 8 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat. Blessing offered Thursday 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Manahawkin.
