Marc A Jackstadt, Jr.

Marc Jackstadt, Jr. of Barnegat, NJ passed away on May 30, 2026. Marc was raised in Leonardo, NJ, where he spent most of his childhood on the water aboard his grandfather’s boat and then later working on the Mi-Jo. A proud Middletown South and York College of PA graduate, Marc had a successful 30-year career in the wine industry.

Marc loved being on the Atlantic Ocean, especially if he was fishing with his kids. Marc was also passionate about his lawn, the Yankees, car racing, Fox News, and music—particularly the Grateful Dead. Anyone who spent time with Marc was sure to hear how proud he was of his kids and their accomplishments.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Meredith and his children Madelyn (Mark) and Griffin (Priscilla). He will forever be remembered by his brother Michael (Johanna), his uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Marc is preceded in death by his parents Marc Sr. and Linda, and his grandparents Alfred and Evelyn Jackstadt, and Albert and Dorothy Wright, all of whom played an important role in raising Marc to be the man he was.

Fair winds and following seas Marc, your memory will be kept alive by all your friends and family who will continue to tell the stories.

Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026 from 4 to 7 PM, with a Time For Sharing to begin 7:00 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 W. Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. (BarnegatFH.com)
