Linda M. Townsend

It is with a heavy heart that we report that our mom, Linda Purcell Towsend passed away on February 5, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on October 27, 1951 in Naugatuck, Connecticut. A proud veteran, Linda served her country honorably in the United States Air Force. Military service took her to various locations before she eventually settled in New Jersey, where she resided for many years. She became a licensed New Jersey Realtor in 1984 and then became a broker and a New Jersey Licensed Real Estate Instructor. She taught classes at the Academy for Real Estate Careers for 15 years, with this past November being her last class. Linda loved teaching her students and looked forward to each new class.

Linda leaves behind her son, Jim Purcell and daughter-in-law, Dr. Diane DiTusa, also daughter, Jennifer Purcell; her two grandchildren, Thomas Purcell, and Gina Cavallaro; her sisters, Tracie Flynn and husband, Keith, Laurie Ardizzone and husband Vinnie, Kathy Ishmael and husband, Don and Susan, Ruggeri.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
