Lester R. Wolcott

Lester R. Wolcott, 80, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Friday, February 21, 2025 born in St. Petersburg, FL, he grew up in Highlands, NJ. After getting married, he moved to Pennsylvania where he raised his family; eventually settling in Jackson, NJ before Barnegat.

Lester, had a passion for the great outdoors. His work in landscaping was not just a profession but a passion. He was an avid enthusiast of barbecues, and enjoyed outdoor gatherings with family.  His love for water and fishing was profound, and he could often be found with his favorite beer in hand.
He had a zest for life and he will be missed all who were fortunate enough to know him.

He is survived by his two children, Karen Fortuner and husband, Gary and Lester Wolcott, Jr. and his wife, Michelle; two grandchildren, Ashley and Gary Jr.; three great-grandchildren; two siblings, Dennis Wolcott and Debra “Wolcott” Donnolly; sister-in-law, Josephine Wolcott; as well as many loving nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.

He is pre-deceased by his parents, John C. Wolcott, Sr. and Laura Wolcott; his brother, John Wolcott, Jr.; his wife, Sue Wolcott and a companion, Joan Silvers.
