Lemuel J. Brinson, Sr.

Lemuel Joseph “Joe” Brinson Sr., 70, of Barnegat, passed away on October 3, 2025. Born in North Carolina, he grew up in Barnegat and was a lifelong resident of the Barnegat and Manahawkin area. He owned and operated his own upholstery business for nearly 40 years. Joe was passionate about playing the drums and especially enjoyed watching his granddaughter, Ava, at her sporting events. 

Surviving are his son, Jay Brinson and his wife, Crystal; granddaughter, Ava; brother, Michael Brinson; sister, Marianne; nephews, Michael and Nicholas Brinson; and many great-nieces and nephews. 

He will be missed by his family and friends.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 6 to 8 PM with a Blessing at 7:45 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ.
