Lawrence J. Centimole

Lawrence J. Centimole, 84, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Thursday, April 6, 2023. Born  in Matawan, NJ to his late parents, Lawrence and Ruth Centimole, he was raised in Matawan, where he resided up until 2000 before moving to Jackson, NJ for the last 20 years and most recently to Barnegat Nursing Center. He worked for Container Corporation of America in Matawan for 50 years until he retired. 

Lawrence had many hobbies such as going to car races and car shows at Wall Stadium and Englishtown Raceway Park. He also enjoyed vacationing on two cruise ships with family and visiting family in Pennsylvania, Upstate New York and Virginia. He also enjoyed going to the boardwalk in the summers and working in the yard. He was a kind man and had a big heart and was always there for anyone in need. He will be greatly missed.

Predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris Centimole, he is survived by his two children, his daughter, Debra Standhope of Barnegat and her late husband Ken Standhope until his passing five months ago; his son, Lawrence Centimole, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca of Barnegat; seven grandsons, Dakota, Brandon and Ryan Standhope and Robert Michaelson, Joseph, Victor and Manuel Centimole; as well as many loving nieces and nephews and family.

Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 2-5 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
