Kenneth C. Ryan

Kenneth C. Ryan, 84, of Barnegat, NJ, passed on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 peacefully at home. Born in Union City, NJ, he was the ninth of thirteen children born to his late parents, Charles and Edith. He graduated in 1954 from Union Hill High School. His nickname was ‘Red’ because of his striking red hair.

Kenneth worked as a pipefitter with Local 274, where he served as a Business Representative for 18 years. During that time, he was an inspiration to many young men as they started their careers in the industry. He retired in 1999 and started enjoying golf and travel. Kenneth lived with his wife, Vera in High Crest Lake, West Milford for many years before retiring to Barnegat in 2004. Along with his sons, he built his country home in Greenville, NY where he owned property and built other homes for resale.  As an avid golfer; he won many tournaments including the 1st golf Championship for Heritage Point in Barnegat. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.  

Surviving are his beloved wife, Elvira; two loving children, Kim Ryan, Tim Ryan and wife Janet; two cherished grandchildren, Daniel and Kelsey Ryan, four brothers, George, Bob, Charles and Tom; three sisters, Carol, Shirley and Muriel. He was predeceased by his beloved son, Kenneth Ryan.
