Kathleen C. Duignan, 89, of the Colony Lakes section of Manahawkin, NJ passed on Friday, November 7, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bundoran, County Donegal, Ireland, to her late parents, Thomas and Margaret Murphy, she emigrated to the United States in April of 1955 and worked for PSE&G before becoming a full time mother and homemaker. Kathleen formerly resided in Newark, Westfield and Middletown, NJ, where she was a parishioner at St. Catharine’s Church in Holmdel and one of the founding members of their St. Vincent dePaul Society before retiring to Manahawkin.
Predeceased by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph, she is survived by her four loving children and their spouses, Eileen and Alex Hepp, Thomas and Suzanne Duignan, Maureen and Ernest Vosinakis, Joseph Duignan and Theresa Weber; six cherished grandchildren, L.J., Christina (Brian), Matthew, Jayne, Anastasia and Alex; brother, John Murphy of Sligo, County Sligo, Ireland; as well as many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 4 to 7 PM and Friday, November 14, 2025 from 10 to 11 AM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 12:30 PM on Friday, at St. Mary Of The Pines Church, 100 Bishop Way, Manahawkin, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH@yahoo.com)
