Katalin Bognar

Katalin Bognar, 84, of Barnegat, NJ passed on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

She was born April 24, 1940 in Hungary to the Bocs family. With her husband, she moved to the United States in 1963 for a new beginning. They raised their two daughters in Bradley Beach, NJ before retiring to North Port, FL in 1997. She loved cooking, dancing and going to the Hungarian Club with friends. She lived her final years in Barnegat, NJ with family.

Katalin is predeceased by her husband, Mihaly and grandson, Joseph. She is survived by her loving daughters, Katalin Lazarus and Julianna Borbas (Mike); two brothers, Gyula and Josef Bocs, who still reside in Hungary; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM at Barnegat Funeral Home, 841 West Bay Ave., Barnegat, NJ. Mass offered Monday, 12:30 PM at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat. Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Manahawkin. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
