Joseph S. Palijaro

Joseph S. Palijaro, 76, of Barnegat passed peacefully at home on Monday, July 13, 2020. Born in Cavite City, Philippines, he and his beloved wife Elvira traveled the world, working across Asia and the Middle East before emigrating to the United States with his family in 1982. After a short time in Jersey City, NJ, the family relocated to Rockland County, NY where he started his own real estate mortgage business, Power Financial. Joseph retired to Barnegat, NJ 15 years ago and continued to spend winters visiting family, friends, and his farm in the Philippines.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 51 years, Elvira Palijaro; his 2 loving daughters, Josephine Palijaro and husband Jason Dineen, Michelle Palijaro; 2 sisters, Corazon and Teresita as well as many loving nieces and nephews. The family lovingly remembers Joseph's predeceased siblings Lourdes, Beatriz, Francisco, and Antonio. 

Viewing Thursday, July 16, 2020 from 4 to 8 PM and Friday July 17, 2020 from 9 to 11 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's Church, Barnegat, NJ. Entombment will be in Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ. (www.BarnegatFH.com)
